Install Accountable2You on a Mac Account with Parental Controls

In addition to the instructions outlined in the main Installing Accountable2You On Mac Computers article, users might encounter some additional steps when setting up Accountable2You on a Mac user account with parental controls enabled.

Below are some of the most common messages/errors that you might encounter.

1. "You don't have permission to use the application 'Accountable2You.'"

If you encounter this error message, please click the button that says "Always Allow...", and enter your administrative username and password as requested (please note this is your Mac login information, not your Accountable2You username and password).

2. When clicking the "sign in" button, users might encounter a message that indicates "Error Occurred Registering Computer".

Once you receive this error, click the "Okay" button at the bottom.

You should now see a smaller window showing that "Accountable2You attempted to access a secure website." Please click "Add Website" and enter your administrative credentials as requested (please note this is your Mac login information, not your Accountable2You username and password).

Once you have done this, try pressing the "sign in" button again. It should work this time. Your software is now set up and should not require any further attention.
