FAQs - Retiring PayPal Plans

Back in 2014, we switched the billing platform for our subscriptions from PayPal over to a newer system called Stripe. For the past 9 years, we’ve kept those grandfathered PayPal subscriptions active alongside our new plans on our new billing platform.

On February 26, 2024, we officially retired PayPal for subscriptions and are consolidating all subscriptions onto our current billing platform (Stripe).

How to switch to current plans

  1. Log into your A2U account online here and navigate to Account Settings > Billing.
  2. Select your desired plan (Personal or Family) and billing frequency (Monthly or Annual).
  3. Confirm or update your payment information.
  4. Select the blue Re-Activate Account button.

NOTE Once you update, your account will automatically receive an additional free 10-day trial before your first payment on the new plan.

What you need to know

PayPal subscriptions have been canceled

On February 26, 2024, we canceled all recurring PayPal payments.

Annual and 6-month subscriptions have received refunds

If you were on an annual or 6-month billing plan, we’ve already sent you a prorated refund for the remaining time on that plan. (You should see that refund in your PayPal account.)

Grace period & deadline to switch to new plans

If you were paying via PayPal, your Accountable2You account has been placed in a free trial period until March 26, 2024 to give you plenty of time to update your billing info and reactivate your account on our current plans & pricing.

Your monitoring and alerts should not be affected at all during this grace period. ✅

Pricing increase

We’ve retired the grandfathered pricing options previously offered via PayPal. In order to continue using A2U, you’ll need to upgrade to our current pricing options. (You can find those options on the Billing page of your account, or on our Pricing page here.)

As we’ve added new features and expanded the team over the years, our prices have slowly responded to cover these additional operating costs. Instead of raising prices for your subscription each time, we’ve kept you on a grandfathered rate the entire time. While this does mean a bigger jump now when switching to our current pricing, we hope that the hundreds of dollars saved over the years have been a blessing to you and your family!

If you don't want to upgrade

We understand that this may be a big price increase for some folks. We hope that Accountable2You is well worth the cost, but understand if you need to cancel.

If you do not wish to switch to the current plans, you don’t need to take any action. Your account will automatically close on March 26, 2024. You can always reactivate your account later on if you’d like!
