The validator extension is an active component that is used to effectively monitor Chrome browsers and Chromebook devices. During installation of the Accountable2You extension for Chrome, you will be guided through the steps necessary to install the validator extension as well.
If a message appears on your report stating "The Accountable2You validator extension has been disabled at [date & time]", this can be caused by a few things. First, the user may have intentionally turned off the validator extension. Secondly, Chrome may have temporarily turned off the extension automatically while performing routine automatic updates. If this is a software issue, you should see a record indicating that the validator extension has been turned back on within a few seconds of it being turned off. If you see this message, Accountable2You encourages you to have an open dialogue with the user to see what might be causing the alert.
