If so, you've come to the right place!
When A2U installs the VPN on your device, it includes a username and password that’s embedded in the VPN information to keep things simple. Apple iOS devices occasionally forget that they already “know” this information, and then get stuck in a loop, prompting you for the proxy authentication username and password - or simply refusing to load web pages. Alternately, it might just be that the root certificate needs to be fully trusted. Either way, we explain how to fix this by following the steps below.
Thankfully, the fix is quick and straightforward:
Force-close all of the running web browsers (Apple shows how to do this here).
- Restart your iOS device (Apple shows how to do this for iPhone here, iPad here, and iPod Touch here).
Open the Accountable2You Mobile app and select VPN Settings.
Next, select Disable and proceed through the prompts. (This will send an alert to your partners, which will include the reason that you entered).
While still within the Accountable2You app, re-enable the VPN in the VPN settings menu. Follow the on-screen prompts.
Next, open the Settings app on your device.
Navigate to General > About > Certificate Trust Settings, and then toggle Enable Full Trust for Root Certificates to the ON position for the certificate for "ca.accountable2you.com."
Open a web browser (Safari, Chrome, etc.) and confirm its working normally again. It's rare, but if you're still having trouble, try the additional steps found here.
