Exclude Mac Applications From Monitoring

One feature of the Mac software is an Application Exclusion List. This is helpful if there are certain applications that you want to exclude for privacy concerns. Accountable2You must first be installed before you can access this feature. Please see our Mac installation instructions here.

To get started, click the "AU" icon in your Mac toolbar, and select "Application Exclusion List".


Next, enter your Accountable2You password and click "Continue".


Your exclusion list will appear. Here you will see listed any programs that have already been excluded. To add a program, click the + icon as shown below.


A list of the programs on your computer will appear. Now put a checkmark next to the programs you wish to exclude. As an example below, we will exclude "Mail" and "Messages" from monitoring. When finished, click "Add".


You will now see these items added to your exclusion list. You're all set to go! Click the exit button in the top-left corner to close the window.


Keep in mind that when you exclude an application, your accountability partners will be notified. The alerts will appear on your report as shown here:
